Worcester Live is at the heart of arts and entertainment in Worcester. It runs the city’s three main entertainment venues - Huntingdon Hall, The Swan Theatre and Henry Sandon Hall – and supports the annual Worcester Festival. Its producing arm, Worcester Repertory Company, stages six to eight annual productions as well as touring shows, including Theatre In Education tours, new work, a Shakespeare in the Cathedral, an outdoor production and the annual Swan Theatre Pantomime.

The Chief Executive is responsible for all aspects of the leadership of the organisation, subject to policy direction from the Trustees. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role, offering exciting opportunities to influence the provision and development of arts and entertainment activities across Worcester.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in a strategic leadership role within an arts environment. They will be able to demonstrate previous success in delivering a range of arts events and activities. They will also have substantial experience of fundraising and managing budgets. Entrepreneurial flair with the ability to identify new commercial opportunities is also essential. 

A passion for theatre and the ability to direct and perform in productions is a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate may have previous experience in the following roles: Artistic Director, Executive Director, Company Manager, Theatre Manager, Producer, Head of Arts, Director of Programmes, etc.

“Have own power tools, will travel”

 Are you handy with a screw driver? Do you enjoy fixing things? Do you have some spare time on your hands?

We are looking for someone who can lend our team a hand with some of the basic maintenance and operational tasks in our venues.

There are no set hours and no minimum hours. Many of the jobs could be carried out to suit you. The time required would very much depend on the jobs that need doing and the time that you have to give.

We would be happy to discuss payment and we would reimburse you for your parking etc. if required.

Voluntary Bar Staff
