Since her appointment as Leader of the English Symphony Orchestra in 2017, violinist Zoë Beyers has quickly established herself as a critical and audience favourite across Elgar Country. For this recital as part of the 2019 Elgar Festival, Beyers is joined for a thrilling duo programme culminating in Elgar's passionate Violin Sonata. Written at almost the same time, Debussy's Violin Sonata is work rich with poetry and fire, and was his last completed work.
