From the company that brought you a sparkling Charley’s Aunt and a stimulating Sherlock Holmes, prepare yourselves for a scintillating Pride & (quite a lot of) Prejudice!

This is a play adapted from a novel about romance, about early 19th century manners, and about important gender issues… all topics that the Worcester Rep knows absolutely nothing about!

Will Mr Darcy look enough like Colin Firth to excite female members of the audience? (No.) Why do the Bennets only have three daughters in this production? (Money.) Was Jane Austen a feminist? (Who cares?) Why do characters from other books keep appearing? (Cheap laughs.) How will we stage the famous ‘lake scene’? (Paddling pool, of course!)

Come and join the Worcester Repertory Company at the Commandery this July, where it never rains on any day which doesn’t have an ‘a’ in it. Bring a picnic and some drink of your choice, and prepare to laugh, cry, cheer, and even act if you fancy being Mary or Kitty…

Rip-roaring summer entertainment not to be missed!

Jonathan Darby as Mr Bennet
Liz Grand as Mrs Bennet
Charlie Ryan as Mr Darcy
Geneviève Lowe as Elizabeth Bennet
John-Robert Partridge as Mr Collins
